As I was busy working, the Holy Spirit stopped me in my tracks and gave me a vision of someone who was holding their breath.

Now, it was quite an interesting picture that I saw. You know, kind of like when you see a young child at the ocean and there are waves upon waves that come. The child is in the water and the waves come, they just kind of hold their breath. Just holding their breath for that next wave to come. But as they keep holding their breath, they’re starting to look a little bit hypoxic, turning a little bit blue because they’re not getting oxygen in. But they’re anticipating that next wave to fall upon them.

And then the Lord just said to me, “There are some of My children that are basically holding their breath for the next wave to hit them.”

When He said that, there were many different facets of these waves. Some of these waves represented things of this world—people getting caught up with all the news, the media, end-time prophecies, all these kinds of things that were happening. And it was like wave upon wave hitting them, and they were almost anxious, waiting for that next wave, the next bad report, the next bad news to come.

Then there were other people who have been struggling with health issues – wave upon wave – and they were almost holding their breath, waiting for the next hit to attack their physical bodies.

And then there were others waiting for wave upon wave of just bad news financially – those in debt, struggling to get ahead, not getting the income. And so they were waiting and waiting for that next wave.

And then there were people facing various trials of many kinds, also just waiting for that next wave to hit them.

And then I heard the Lord say: “Calm, be still, and breathe.”

As I watched this, I could see this child just exhale, and color coming back to their face – and they could breathe again. And then, just laugh at the wave that came.

The Lord then gave me that scripture:
“Do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will have worries of its own. God’s mercies are brand new every day.”

The Lord just wanted to remind you: take every day as it comes. Do not look too far ahead but look in the present moment. Because if you look too far ahead, if you look too in-depth at all these waves, all you’re going to see is a big, roaring ocean—and you’re going to feel really intimidated. You’re going to feel anxious. But when you actually just breathe, all you see is this one wave, and you see your Daddy standing behind you, ready to grab hold of you as the wave comes, to lift you out of it.

The Lord wanted to remind you today that He’s with you. No matter what comes in this world, just keep your eyes on Jesus. Take Him by the hand and go with Him step by step through whatever it is you are facing.

Yes, it might feel like you’re being pounded upon, but if you actually just breathe and let it out, you can gain perspective in the situation and see Him carrying you through every single wave. Because you are safe in His care and in His hands, and He will not let anything come upon you that you will not be able to handle or bear with Him. He will provide a way out for you as well, to stand up from under it.

Let’s Pray ,

So, my beautiful God,
Lord, I come in the name of Jesus, and I just pray for every brother and sister that might be in some of these various forms, really just holding their breath, waiting for that next wave to come.

Lord, I pray in the name of Jesus that You will help them to relax and breathe. Lord, just be Your child and fall in Your arms, taking it one step at a time.

Lord, I pray for all these things that are really hammering them. I pray, my God, that You would help lift them above it, Father, so that even when these things come, they will be so secure in You – knowing that they are Yours.

So no matter what the waves might bring, no matter how much the waves might roar, they will know that You are with them and that You love them and will see them through.

So I pray for them – for courage and strength, Lord, and for their faith to go down even deeper and deeper in You, so that they can be rooted, unshakable in these times ahead.
