This is a word that the LORD has been speaking in my heart for some of you who have been in a very long season with the LORD. Even a wilderness season as you will. But the LORD has been calling you out. And the LORD has been telling you that your season is different. Your season has shifted. That HE has given you a new chapter, a new season, but because your circumstances don’t look any different, you have not believed the LORD and you have felt like you are still stuck in this wilderness season, waiting for a breakthrough, waiting for something to look tangible in the natural to make you think your season has shifted. Because you might be thinking what the LORD is speaking to you is for the future and not for now. But the LORD wants to encourage you that when HE tells you your season has changed and your season has shifted, that it has. Remember, we take things by faith first and not by sight. And the LORD brought me to 2 Samuel 5:12: “Then David knew that the LORD had established him as king over Israel and had exalted his kingdom for the sake of his people Israel.” You see, David went through a lot of transitions, a lot of time in the wilderness before he became king. And even when he was crowned king of Judah, David still didn’t really have that kingship sit in his heart because he still hadn’t taken the fullness of Israel. And so when he became king of Israel, when he finally sat on that throne, then he knew GOD established his kingdom. But that transition period between Judah and Israel was a time period where he was king. But it didn’t necessarily feel to him like he came into that fullness of the promise. He was still on his way there. But his season had shifted between Judah and Israel because before he was crowned king of Judah, he was still fighting for his life. He was still running away from Saul and he was being persecuted and chased. Sometimes something happens in your heart if you have been in a very long time frame of just seasons of wilderness and struggles and feeling persecuted and running for your life. I’m talking about the spiritual sense here, not in the natural sense of life-threatening situations. I’m talking about you feeling like it’s just been an endless wilderness, an endless season of not getting where you need to be. And then when GOD gives you a word and tells you your season has shifted, but you don’t see things in the natural shifting yet, the problem is your mindset. The mindset you have adapted during the wilderness is now keeping you stagnated and stuck, keeping you from moving forward into a new season. What I mean by that is that often we adopt certain mindsets in the different seasons of our lives. These give us coping mechanisms or even sometimes helpful mechanisms to see us through the journey. For example, when you’re in the wilderness, you almost adopt a mindset of, “I just have to continuously surrender and look at myself and receive GOD’s rebukes and chastisement because this is wrong with me, that is wrong with me. I need to fix this, I need to fix that before I can step into things.” That kind of mindset might be needed for that season because in the wilderness season, the LORD does a lot of stripping and changing in you. But when the LORD is getting ready to move you into the promised land, you need to actually shift your mindset to be able to do so. When you look at Joshua with the Israelites when they were at Gilgal before they actually crossed into the promised land, they had to circumcise all the males. While they were in the wilderness, the males were not circumcised. And when they reached that border to cross over to the promised land, they had to make a shift. It was like they had to cut away the wilderness season. They had to cut away that which still represented the old season before they could move into the new. There was a cutting away and a healing from the old way of doing things. Because in the wilderness, the LORD fed them with manna. The LORD provided water. But it was not a pleasant journey—it was wilderness, not the land flowing with milk and honey. So their hearts carried that wilderness mindset for years: “How long is this going to be?” That became their norm. But with circumcision, re-entering covenant with GOD, it was more than just a physical sign. It symbolized cutting away the old wilderness mindset and marking the shift into a new season. Because in the wilderness, they were wanderers. Now they were going to be conquerors. They could not walk into the promised land with the same mindset. If you bring a wilderness mindset into the promised land, you cannot take territory. The LORD wants you to know: if you have been hearing HIM say your season has shifted but you still don’t see change in the natural, HE may have you in a Gilgal moment—cutting away your old mindset. Even if it was useful for the wilderness, it is not useful for the promised land. Sit with the LORD JESUS and say: “LORD, forgive me. I know YOU said this is a new season, but I’ve still been looking at things with the same mindset. Show me the areas where I think like a wanderer instead of a conqueror. Heal me. Help me shift into YOUR perspective.” Remember Joshua and Caleb: both faced the same giants as the other spies, but only they saw with faith instead of fear. Only they entered the promised land. Ask the LORD: “What expired mindsets do I need to let go of? What new mindsets do YOU want me to adopt?” Then walk in quick obedience. Don’t put it off. Obey quickly and step forward into the new, because GOD cannot move you into the promised land with the wilderness mindset. So release it to the LORD. Receive HIS healing. Move forward with confidence in HIM. Even if the path has curves, it is a straight line in GOD’s hands. HE knows how to get you to your destination. Prayer: Heal them, strengthen them, and help them to rise up in quick obedience so they do not miss YOUR appointed time. In JESUS’ most holy and powerful name, Amen. Be Blessed, Adele Grobler Director and Founder, Bold ExistenceYour mindset needs to shift. You need to have a different outlook and a new perspective.
My beautiful GOD, LORD, I come in the name of JESUS. I pray for every brother and sister who feels stuck in a long season, where YOU have been telling them that YOU are moving them into something new. FATHER, I pray in JESUS’ name that they will not hinder their forward movement. Help them, O GOD, to recognize the expired mindsets that no longer serve the season YOU are calling them into. Heal them from trauma responses of the wilderness. Shift them from wanderers to conquerors, from wanderers to warriors, from wanderers with no inheritance to heirs taking territory.
This Is Causing Your Delay
This might be a confirmational word for someone. If you have been asking the Lord why you seem to not move forward and why you seem to be delaying and being stuck. It might be because you are resisting what God has already shown you and asked you to do without fully...
