(14 February 2023) Someone needs to hear today – Sometimes you have to let go to receive. What are you holding onto today that has been causing feelings of frustration, overwhelm and pressure in your life? This could be something as simple as a wrong mindset, or an expectation of how a breakthrough or promise will unfold. Whatever it is, if it is causing frustration, overwhelm and pressure in your life, it is time for a shift. Meaning a “letting go” of that thing, that mindset, that expectation, so you can have room to receive God’s freedom, peace, joy and hope in that space. Ask yourself these questions: “What is my way of thinking regarding this situation or expectation achieving? Is it making me miserable? Is it making me anxious and frustrated? Is it making me feel hopeless and wearisome?” It the answer to any of these questions are “yes”, then it points to an area you have not fully surrendered over to the Lord. You might have said to God that you give it to Him, yet in your mind you are still “holding on” to a part of it, reasoning how it will play out or work out. Let it go completely in surrender and change your mindset, your normal way of thinking and approaching the situation, to receive new revelation and perspective from God’s throne regarding the situation and take back your peace.
