 I heard the Holy Spirit say, “Don’t delay, put systems in place.” The Lord showed me a vision of a bunch of people in a alarm sort of control tower on a beach, and they were basically seeing a tsunami rising up and coming towards the land. In a frantic manner they tried to press the red button to sound an alarm to warn people, but when they pressed it no sound came out. They then frantically went around looking to use either phone lines to phone out, walkie-talkies, and other systems, but when they came to these other forms of communication that they could reach to the external world, the phone lines didn’t have any phone cables connected to them, the walkie-talkies didn’t have any batteries in them. It seemed like no preparations were set in place for this emergency situation because they’d never encountered a tsunami before.

And because of that, they delayed in ever doing maintenance, delayed in ever putting things in place for such an event. And this tsunami came on a day that they did not expect or prepare for.

Then I heard the Lord say, “My children, do not be an unsuspecting people. Be ready and keep yourselves ready.”

Some of you have drifted back into slumber and complacency. The things you have hoped for have been long in the waiting—so much that you have stopped making preparations and putting systems in place to be ready for when it comes.

What will you do when I suddenly come and bring to pass that which you have longed for and prayed for? Are you ready for the pour out? Are you ready for the numbers? Are you ready for the provision? Are you ready to not be caught off guard?

Do not let your experience of delay blind your heart and mind to delay in getting things ready and systems in place. I often will provide seasons of delay for you to utilize to get systems in place and things ready so that you are not overwhelmed when I suddenly come and fulfill all that which I have spoken to you.

Do not be discouraged. Use your time and resources wisely, for you do not know the day or the hour that I will show up.

Likewise, if I have told you to get certain systems in place for what’s to come, do not delay in putting them into place. Examine everything and see where you need to make improvements, conduct maintenance, and build systems.

So my brother and sister, if this has been you—if you have been long in the waiting for certain things that the Lord told you would come—and in your heart you’ve kind of put off getting things ready or preparing, then may this word encourage you to not put those things off.

You know our God cannot be boxed, and He does things in His own way and His own timing. And we have to be ready for when those sudden opportunities, those sudden occurrences, those sudden things come our way—so that we are not overwhelmed, that we are not confused, and that we don’t miss those things.

So get those things ready with the Lord if He has talked to you about it. And if this has been your journey as well, just know that the Lord is for you, not against you. And that is why He just reminds you to not keep putting things off.

So, my beautiful God, Lord, we come in the name of Jesus, and we thank You so much, Lord God, that You always help us to keep on track and in alignment with You. I thank You, my Lord, that You sound the alarm for us personally, Father, to not put things off when You’ve told us to get certain things in place.

Because, my Lord, You come at Your appointed times and moments, and we need to be ready, Lord. And You sometimes help us to prepare in advance so we will not be overwhelmed when You come.

So Lord, we just pray in the name of Jesus that You help us to remain diligent, not become slumbering, not become complacent, but to keep at those things, Lord, that You have entrusted into our hands and asked us to prepare in advance. In Jesus’ most holy and powerful name, amen.
