It Is Not About The Numbers

Someone needs to hear today – It is not about the numbers

The Lord brought this word to me after I released the prophetic word “Don’t Stop”. The Holy Spirit Highlighted that after watching that word, some had this thought “pop” into their minds “God, I am building and moving forward with You but my reach seems to not go very far. How then can I make an impact for Your Kingdom?”. 

You might be someone who started a Youtube Channel or other form of online ministry, a blog, a website etc. and you have not had many followers. You have only 20 people or a few hundred people, and you are comparing yourself with other ministries that have thousands of subscribers or followers. 

Jesus wants to remind you today that it is not about the number of subscribers or followers that determines the impact you can have for His Kingdom. It is rather the quality of your current subscribers/followers and not the quantity that counts. 

The Lord took me to Judges 7. In Judges 7 it talks about Gideon and the 300 soldiers that God used to go up against a massive army. God routed the army before Gideon and the 300 soldiers. Gideon started with thousands of soldiers, but God “sifted” them. Those who were afraid to go to war were removed first. God continued the sifting process until only 300 were left. Those 300 hundred were brave soldiers who were all in and willing to do as Gideon instructed. 

Thousands of subscribers and followers of a ministry do not mean anything. It is only numbers. What truly counts is the handful of those subscribers and followers who are “all in” for Jesus. Who wants to grow, learn and who are willing to change so that they can become more like Jesus. It is better to minister to 20 people who will receive the messages God gives you to share with them, and put it into practice, rather than having 200K subscribers who aren’t receptive to your message and don’t implement it into their lives. 

Throughout scripture God would at times use the minority to bring about great change for His Kingdom. God does not need numbers, He needs the right hearts that are receptive, mouldable, and willing to obey. 

The few subscribers and followers you have might be the next Billy Graham, Kathryn Kuhlman etc. Never underestimate the impact you can have through your obedience to God, even if the numbers are small. One of those in the small numbers could lead thousands to Christ because of your willingness to share with them what God has placed on your heart.
