Before you run, before you strive, before you press forward into purpose, have you learned to be? Friend, the first call on your life isn’t to do for God. It’s to be with Him. Sonship comes before service. Identity comes before calling. Presence comes before purpose. And until you know who you are as His child, everything else will feel like striving. “He predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with His pleasure and will.” — Ephesians 1:5 So, what’s keeping you from resting in that truth? From resting? Is it fear? Is it excuses? Is it confusion? Is it insecurity? Before you soar, before you build, before you chase after the plans He has for you, you have to be willing to sit with Him first. To linger, to learn His heart. When we give God our yes, He takes us seriously. A yes to sonship sets in motion Heaven’s mighty hand to orchestrate, rearrange, guide, shift, mend, tend, prune, and nourish. It will attract discipline and discipleship. It will not only restore you but establish you. But we have to be willing to surrender our expectations of what we think this journey will look like. We need to let go of doing so we can embrace being. Because it’s hard to lead a stationary horse, but it’s just as hard to guide one that refuses to slow down. True obedience isn’t just movement, it’s movement in rhythm with Him. It’s knowing when to step, when to pause, when to lean in. It’s working as unto Him while still abiding in His presence. The rhythm is important. When we stop trying to control the outcome and instead surrender to Him, purpose unfolds naturally. So, the question isn’t just: Will you go? But also: Will you stay? Will you sit in His presence before you chase after His plans? Because the time is now. Come. Be blessed, Aimee Bold Existence Team Aimee – March – 2025
That relentless whisper that says, If I stop, if I’m still, I’ll fall behind. That lie that tells you your worth is tied to your output. God never called you a servant first. He called you His.
“Be still, and know that I am God.” — Psalm 46:10
If fear is driving you to run ahead, maybe you need to pause and let Him remind you who you are.
“I’ll sit with God later.”
“I’ll make time when life slows down.”
The truth is life will never slow down. The enemy will always keep you distracted, make you think intimacy is a luxury, not a necessity. But without intimacy, everything you build is empty.
“Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.” — John 15:4
Rest isn’t an option, it’s a command. Taking time to sit at His feet is part of your original design. You are created to linger.
You want direction. You want to know what you’re supposed to do. But God isn’t waiting for you to figure out the blueprint, He’s waiting for you to be near. Clarity doesn’t come from overthinking; it comes from abiding.
“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” — Psalm 119:105
Not a floodlight. Not a roadmap. Just enough for the next step.
“Who am I to be chosen?”
“What if I don’t have what it takes?”
Sonship isn’t about what you bring to the table. It’s about what He has already placed inside you.
“The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.” — Romans 8:16
Will you choose to be His child before you try to be His worker?
Will you trust that everything you’re looking for flows from simply being with Him?
The calling is yours.
And the Father is waiting
This Is Causing Your Delay
This might be a confirmational word for someone. If you have been asking the Lord why you seem to not move forward and why you seem to be delaying and being stuck. It might be because you are resisting what God has already shown you and asked you to do without fully...
