You’re Not Ready Yet

Prophetic Word – Adele Grobler – March – 2025

So as I was spending time with Jesus, the Lord showed me a vision of two people having a conversation. I could see that this conversation started to turn a little heated, and one person was really getting upset by what was being shared with them. The other person was someone higher up in authority, whether a church leader, a leader in ministry, or someone in a position of management or a boss at a company. The Lord didn’t give me insight into the exact setting, only that one person had higher authority than the other.

The person with less authority desired and yearned for the position that the person in authority had. This person in authority actually had a good conversation with them, offering constructive feedback regarding some decisions they were making and pathways they were taking because they could see that this person was about to either hurt themselves or others based on their decisions. However, the person receiving the feedback started to get really defensive and took offense at this leader’s guidance.

This person then turned and walked to a group of people in the corner of a room. They had relationships and influence with this group. They began to badmouth the leader and even gave a false witness report about them. Because of their existing relationship, the group started believing them. There was no other witness to confirm what had actually happened, so the leader’s intentions were misunderstood, and the group began to speak negatively about them.

The person then walked away from the group, took out their phone, and opened a video that talked about the next level of authority and God’s promotion. They believed this message was meant for them because it resonated in their spirit. However, it was actually their emotions deceiving them.

The Lord then gave me this word for that vision:

“My child, you are not yet ready to carry everything I have in store for you, and there is no shame in that. Many think that because they hear a prophetic word, they are ready for the next and the new. I examine the heart, the motives, and the intentions. A man’s heart may fool him, making him think his motives are pure, but I see deeper.

Just because you have been through rough seasons, even what you may consider a wilderness season, does not mean you are ready or qualified for the level of responsibility you are asking of Me. When you cannot receive constructive feedback, wisdom, and advice from those who have walked the path you desire, how then can you be ready?

Many of My children are shutting their ears to wise correction. I speak in many ways, and one of the ways is truth through the mouths of those I choose. At times, what you think you hear is not from Me, but rather from your burning desires—wanting validation, wanting to be seen and known. You set yourself up as one who carries My words and wisdom, yet you cannot clearly hear My voice and instruction when I utter it through someone else.

If you shut your ears to guidance and instruction, you miss refinement opportunities. How do you think you can lead the blind when you yourself so easily succumb to it? You who are convinced you can teach others, do you not teach yourself? Just because you have been through a few things and some listen to you does not mean you are ready to carry what you desire.

My disciples journeyed with Me for a long time before I entrusted them with more. If you have not honored, how do you expect to be honored? If you have spoken against your leaders and given false reports because you disliked their wisdom and advice, are you truly ready for leadership?

If you wish for elevation, if you desire to walk in more, you must first learn how to honor. You must learn how to receive advice and constructive feedback. You must learn not to speak ill of those I place over you when you disagree with them. You must apply the same principles you teach others. If you have not overcome and walked out what you teach, then you are only speaking empty words. A bleeding heart does more harm than good.

First, learn how to receive healing from Me. Learn how to be open to wisdom and constructive feedback. Learn to honor those who look out for you. Learn to stand on your own two feet before you instruct others and set yourself up as a leader.

Greatness is not what you think it is. If your foundations are not strong, you will be like the flowers in the field—here today and gone tomorrow. You cannot sustain this on your own; you need Me every step of the way. Much work is still required before I can trust you with more. Many have done harm to My people by doing things their own way. Get yourself ready first.”

It’s a big word from the Lord today, brothers and sisters.

If you have been someone who takes offense instead of seeking wisdom through constructive feedback, let me tell you—many years ago, the Lord taught me a principle that has been so valuable in my walk. He said that even when you have a conversation with someone who may misunderstand you, or even if what they say isn’t entirely true, bring it to Him. Ask the Lord if there is any truth in what they are saying. Not everything they say may be right, but God may be highlighting something within you that needs refining.

The Lord refines our character in ways we do not always expect. Sometimes He uses situations and people we least want Him to use. But He does it to strengthen our foundations, especially if we desire to be in higher positions—whether in ministry, career, or leadership.

The Bible teaches that there is wisdom in wise counsel. Do not shut your ears to it, because rejecting correction is a sign of spiritual immaturity. When you refuse to allow others to challenge or correct you, it can be a sign of pride—and God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.

God places people in our lives to serve as safety barriers, pointing out potential mistakes so we can learn from them. While He speaks in many ways, don’t disregard correction from others.

If you desire a greater position—whether in ministry, career, or leadership—you must learn to work with others, receive criticism, and discern between truth and falsehood. Do not allow offense to turn you into someone who spreads a bad report about others. A leader must lead well, and that begins with personal refinement.

Sometimes, God delays our promotions because our character is not yet refined. Take time with the Lord and ask, “Is there anything in me that needs to change?” Allow Him to work in you, so that when He is ready to entrust you with more, you are fully prepared.

Just like in the vision, the reaction toward the leader caused damage that could not be undone. Be mindful of your words and actions because once damage is done, it carries consequences.

Seeking leadership is admirable, but it comes with great responsibility. You must live by example, not just speak about it. There is a difference between talking about something and actually walking it out.

Let’s pray,

Heavenly Father, I come in the name of Jesus and pray for whoever this word is for. Lord, I ask that You forgive them if they have acted in this way without realizing it. Bring to light anything hidden in darkness. Heal the broken places in their heart and help them not to be defensive or easily offended. Teach them to recognize Your voice in correction and build strong foundations in them so they are ready when You call them higher. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.

Be Blessed
