Prophetic Word – Your Wrestle

With every prophetic word you hear, always take it to the Lord and ask Him for confirmation. Believe in no man or woman, but only in the one true God.

The Lord said:
“Your wrestle is not against flesh and blood, My children. Why do you wrestle for positions and titles in My church? You wrestle and fight for it as if somehow it is essential for you to be known and recognized. Is this the example I gave you to follow? Did I portray a wrestling match for Me to be known and seen for who I am? Did I encourage My disciples to fight for titles and positions for them to be known, seen, and recognized? My children, some of you are in great error. Who has taught you that titles, positions, and the need for recognition are important? Do you not bring disgrace to My Name by acting like this? Is this not the way of the world? I hear My children arguing with one another. They argue for titles of prophets, apostles, evangelists, and roles of authority and leadership. Does leadership make a man anything? And what authority does a person have except what has been granted to him from above? Am I pleased with such behaviour? Not at all.

What makes a person a prophet, an apostle, an evangelist, or a leader? Is it a tick list that I compare with, or is it a place and position I call them specifically to? If you claim to be a prophet, an apostle, an evangelist, or a leader, My question is: who told you, you fall in these categories? Was it a prophetic word you heard somewhere? Was it a desire you had? Was it a checklist you thought you met? Or did I tell you specifically and clearly you are to move in these offices?

If you have self-proclaimed a title and position because you have a gift of prophecy or have the ability for leadership and innovation, then you are greatly mistaken. Having a gift or an ability does not automatically qualify you for a position and office. Those who I have called have no need for validation or recognition. They have no need to have their name in lights nor to be called by a title, for their hearts are occupied with pleasing Me and serving My people rather than working and wrestling for the validation, acceptance, and praise from man. Do you not know that any position and office you obtain by your own efforts will need to be sustained by your own efforts? The one I call and choose does not need to obtain their office and position by their own strength, nor do they sustain it by their own efforts. My Spirit works powerfully within them, and they are known and recognized by those who know Me. The latter have an organic flow and ease in rhythm with My Spirit; the former work vigorously and tirelessly to obtain and maintain position.

Why are there positions and offices in the church? Is it so that others will have a higher regard for one man over another? Not at all. Is that what I teach in My word? Are these not positions and offices to help maintain order and build up the body? Are not all positions and offices for serving? Did I not come to serve, not for recognition, fame, titles, and lording it over others? Did I not take on human form and walk humbly? Why then do you fight for exaltation and recognition? Do you not know that those who claim they have a word from Me will be judged more strictly? For it is by your words that you are acquitted, and by your words that you are condemned. Do not be hasty to speak. Are you speaking to be recognized, validated, received, or are you truly speaking from a heart of purity and honour towards Me? Examine your motives, My children. I judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart—not a popularity contest, but a truth contest. A true prophet and apostle are not concerned with recognition and pleasing man. A true prophet and apostle is handpicked by Me and Me alone, and they work for the glory and honour of Him who appointed them.

You who wrestle for these positions and offices, are you honouring Me with your actions when you become upset and fight for validation and recognition? Are you honouring Me in those moments? You who want what you think are important titles and positions, yet you lack the more important things. Are you more concerned about titles and positions than you are about becoming the right person who can steward it properly? Examine My servant, Moses. He walked humbly with Me. When his leadership was challenged, he made no effort to defend himself or validate himself. He left it for Me to prove him as My chosen vessel. He took a humble position, serving My people and not lording it over them. He had no need to flaunt his title and position in people’s faces. He was quick to repent on behalf of the people. He was not after glory, riches, honour, or recognition. I was the one who called him a prophet and validated him.

My children, you will do well to assume humble positions and work for My glory and honour rather than your own. I am coming to examine hearts, motives, and what and how things have been built. I will test it with fire; everything will be burned up that is not of Me. Do not think that because a person has a big following and is popular that I have chosen them. Many will come in My name, but not all have been chosen and appointed by Me. Outside appearances count for nothing. Saul was a man of great stature, yet I rejected him and chose a humble shepherd boy to take his place. Likewise, do not look for prominence and popularity. This is the one I esteem: he who is humble and contrite and who trembles at My word. The one who is of Me will obey My commands and will bear much fruit. They will walk in My principles in their word and deed. They will continue working for My glory and honor, regardless of positions, titles, and validation from men. They will continually seek My face, learn My ways, and allow Me to change them. They will be mindful to do what pleases Me and not themselves. My heart will be seen in them in everything they do.

Stop striving for things that won’t last. Work for things that will. Learn from Me. I am humble, gentle, meek, and lowly. Do not be quick to utter anything you receive. Be wise and let My truth dwell in your hearts richly. Do not stray from My word. My word is life to all who hear it. Whoever exalts himself will be brought low.”

God, we come in the name of Jesus and just thank You so much for this word. Thank You for sharing Your heart, and thank You, Lord, that You bring us words of conviction to help us get back on track. Father, forgive us in the name of Jesus for any area of our lives that have not been fully submitted to You. My God, I pray in the name of Jesus that You will continue to purify Your church, Lord, that we can stand before You unblemished and unashamed. Help us, Lord, to have hearts for You and not hearts of self. Help us, Lord, to not be contaminated with the ways of the world or even pursue the things of the world, but help us, Lord, to keep doing the things that are pleasing in Your sight, whether we get praise from people or not.

Help us, Lord, not to fight for positions, statuses, and titles. Lord, help us to not seek those places of honour and prominence, but help us rather to look to humbly serve You, to just be in love with You and obey You, because that, Lord God, is our mandate—to just be Yours every single day of our lives. In Jesus’ most holy and powerful name, amen.
