Do you know what the ancient pathways, the good ways that are referenced in Jeremiah chapter 6?

The Lord gave me this prophetic word to share with the body of Christ. 

The Lord said:

“Resistance to the old pathways is what keeps some of My children stuck—a resistance to the simplicity of My word, a resistance in old ways of doing things. There is much wisdom and truth found on the ancient pathways, the good ways that were treaded upon. The advancement of technology has at times steered people away from good ways that worked and how things were meant to be. Test everything, My children, and hold on to the good. 

Dilution of My word and steering away from the good pathway comes in many forms. Simple things such as mercy, grace, love, faith, perseverance, endurance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness become scarcer and scarcer. What is evil is called good, and what is good is called evil.

For the waywardness of the simple will kill them, and the complacency of fools will destroy them. For wide is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it, but narrow is the road that leads to life, and only a few find it. 

Return to the ancient paths where the good way is. Do not call sin good and good sin. Come back to My foundational principles. Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and then your neighbor as yourself. For the desires of men’s hearts overrule their spirit. The more you feed the desires of your flesh, the weaker your spirit becomes. The more you feed your spirit, the weaker your flesh becomes. 

A man is a servant to what rules him. If a man is governed by his flesh, does he not submit to his flesh like a servant to a master? But if a man overrules his flesh and beats it into submission, how then can his flesh govern him any longer? When you submit to Me and you resist the devil, will he not flee? But if you do not submit to Me and you embrace the devil, will he not force you into submission to his sinful practices? 

Darkness loses its hold when you draw near to My light.
Compromises will see you stumble and fall.
To live in true freedom is to fully come into My light.

For whoever wants to save his life will lose it; whoever loses his life for Me will find it. Do not be an instigator of that which is impure. Do not go along with wicked men plotting wicked deeds. Be peace-loving, considerate, and hold on to what is good. Let My word dwell in your hearts richly. When you abide in Me, you will not fall. For I am the light of the world. Whoever comes to Me I will never drive away, for I gave My life to draw all men unto Myself. All those the Father has given Me. 

Ask of Me for ancient paths to show you where the good way leads. For eternal life is only found in Me, Jesus Christ, the Son of God. 

Some food for thought: I would like to encourage you, brothers and sisters, to go and sit with the Lord Jesus. As you spend time with Him and His word, ask Him to tell you great and unsearchable things about the ancient paths, the good ways, and let Him sit and minister to your hearts.

So, my beautiful God, Lord, we come in the name of Jesus, and we thank You so much for Your words of truth and life. We thank You, my Lord, that You are the light of the world and that in You salvation and eternity is found—and life and life in abundance. We thank You that You love us so much that You sent your one and only Son, Jesus Christ, to die for the sins of the world so those who believe in Him can have eternal life.

We thank You, Lord, that that same resurrection power that raised Christ up from the dead lives in those who have received the Lord Jesus. Help us, my Lord, to not forget the ancient paths, the good ways. Let us not become confused by this world to call evil good and good evil, but help us, my Lord, to be people of integrity and stick with righteousness, justice, peace, love, and mercy—and more than anything, love You with all our hearts and obey You every step of the way. In Jesus’ most holy and powerful name, amen.
