This prophetic word is more aimed toward those of you who have been really seeking the Lord but really struggling to find Him, and so may this word encourage you.

So the Lord said:

“My children, you go far and wide looking for a key, looking for a tool, looking for some formula to draw closer to Me. You look for Me in buildings built by human hands. You look for Me amongst the gathering masses and yet do not find what you are looking for. You receive a taste, but it does not satisfy. Do you not know that I do not reside in buildings built by human hands? Not even the highest heavens can contain Me. The place where I choose to reside is within you, a fleshly temple not built by human hands, but fashioned and knitted together by Mine.

My children, do you not realize that I am within you? You look for Me and search for Me, and yet I’m right there with you. Wherever you go, there I am. My Holy Spirit lives within you, to comfort you, to counsel you, to teach you, to guide you, and convict you. Where can you go where I cannot find you? You already have inside you what you are looking for outside of you.

Draw near to listen, and I will speak. I will lead and guide you. Open your ears and listen for My still small voice. I speak to you in the quiet. I speak to you on the go. I speak to you when you read My word. Do not discredit the pull you feel on your heart—that deep inner conviction. My sheep know Me. Just pay attention. Do not hesitate to draw near. I will tell you things you do not know yet. I will help teach you how to discern My ways. So pay close attention.

Put distractions aside and focus on My voice. You will learn to recognize Me. Eat My word and let it dwell richly in your heart. You need both My Spirit and My Word to discern correctly. The Word is your foundation for hearing. My Spirit will remind you of what is written as you feast upon My words of life. Know Me and know My nature. Become well acquainted with Me. You can hear. I created you to hear from Me. I dwell in you. I’m not far off. You will find Me when you seek Me.”

So, my beautiful God, Lord, we just thank You so much that You are not a God far off but a God near. Lord, we thank You so much that You reside within us. And my King, that when we just get quiet and listen, You do speak. Help us to put distractions aside and pay attention, that we will not miss it when You speak. Help us, Lord, to not look for You in all other places except the place where You already are, which is inside of us. Help us, my Lord, to richly just read Your Word, study it, and take to heart what is written in it, Lord, so that we can discern Your voice better from our own flesh and from the enemy.
