I have a question for you , who does God say you are? Identity, spoken by Christ has a holy weight to it .. it’s not the version shaped by achievement, applause or even wounds .. but the truth formed into the core of you by the one who knit you together. See, this Faith life is more then just believing in God, but learning to believe Him when He speaks of you. He names us with language that goes beyond the label and reaches down into the marrow of you to draw forth all that your created to become.. So often becoming who God says you are will feel more like contradiction then it does clarity. Because identity isn’t something you put on, but a truth that you grow into. Friend, lean in here, Names He calls you that place you in Him; Child – meaning born of God, not borrowed. Son / Daughter. Heirs, not outsiders. Beloved – unconditionally loved like Jesus is. Holy Nation – a people marked for God. Chosen – hand-selected, not random. Royal Priesthood – reigning and interceding. New Creation – not upgraded, reborn. Body of Christ – a moving, breathing extension of Jesus. Vessel – fragile, yes, but filled with glory. …. and the most important name to take away while you grow into all the others… If I’m honest some of these often feel to sacred to wear… and yet He continues to speak them over and over and He doesn’t stutter. Which name do you struggle to believe is yours? That’s a name to stay with and ask the Lord to show you why that feels to hard to hold.. ask Him to help you believe what He already sees. Becoming is a journey and these names aren’t a finish line but a map for the middle parts .. Friend you aren’t lost, your just still learning to lean in and trust this truth will catch you. Isaiah 62:2 ( ESV) Friend, try as we might, we don’t define ourselves – God Does. Growing into a name that is new, different and holy takes time .. and there is grace sufficient for the journey.
