As I was spending time with the Lord, He gave me this word to encourage the hearts of those of you who have felt like this. So if this word resonates in your spirit, take it to the Lord Jesus and ask Him for confirmation.

The Lord said:

“I have not forgotten you. I know you feel like I have, but I have not. How can I forget you? See, I have engraved you on the palms of My hands. Your walls are ever before Me. I have not forgotten you, nor will I ever. The very hairs on your head are numbered, and I know when one of them falls to the ground.

The distance you feel is not because I removed My presence from you, but rather it is due to the lack of understanding that I’m always near. My child, the outworking’s of your life is not a direct correlation of My absence. In this life, you will have trouble, but take heart, for I have overcome the world.

Who is he that I look upon in favor? Is it not he who has a contrite heart, who trembles at My word and walks humbly with Me? Your circumstances are not a reflection of My favor or the lack thereof. It is your understanding of what I value most that is obscured.

What matters to Me is your heart, your devotion, and faithfulness to Me. For a man can gain and have the whole world and seem to be in a seat of favor, but yet his heart is far from Me. It is not circumstances that are a reflection of My favor or lack thereof.

My heart delights in a heart of obedience. My heart delights in a heart that has faith in Me. Do not allow the perceptions of this world to dictate to you when you have My favor and when you don’t. I desire obedience, not gain—acknowledgment of Me rather than praise of man.

Before you were born, you were on My mind. I thought of you, created you, and I’m still thinking of you. Hush, quiet your heart now, and be still. You are not forgotten.”

Let’s pray,

So, my beautiful God, Lord, I come in the name of Jesus and I pray, my Lord, just for every brother and sister who’s feeling this way. I thank You so much that You are making that space and time to let them know how much You love them and that You have not forgotten them.

I pray, my Lord, that this word can refresh their hearts and will just solidify them again back into intimacy with You, Lord—that they would realize it’s not how we feel or how things look, but it is all based on truth: that You will never leave us nor forsake us.

So I pray You refresh them and that they can just feel Your tangible presence, Lord, drawing ever so closer to them. In Jesus’ most holy and powerful name, Amen.
