Nutraceutical VS Pharmaceutical – what’s the story?!

by 25 May

3 John 1:2

Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well.

The doctor of the future will give no medication but will interest his patients in the care of the human frame, diet and in the cause and prevention of disease”—Thomas A. Edison (1847-1931)

I have learned over the past 25 years as a health professional that focusing on treating the cause of something rather than the symptom is key. I’m not now and haven’t ever really been a fan of pharmaceuticals, and truly hope to steer clear of them for the rest of my life. In fact, let’s be real here. I don’t intend to take any. My own personal health history has had its fair share of medical dramas including surgeries, car accidents, to migraines and leaky gut just to name a few – which has all led me on a journey over the past decade to learn how to research and what questions to ask when looking at healthy solutions available for me and my family, This has been instrumental in additionally growing my knowledge base over the past 7 years, walking alongside many families that I coach and have helped on their health journey as well.

Not all supplements are created equal let me tell you there are many hidden ingredients and spammy fluffy marketing that is mostly smoke and mirrors 😱  And to further add to that, the knowledge that all pharmaceuticals have side effects – it’s just a matter of the degree you experience them when taking the drug.

A new survey into the medicine-taking habits of Australians estimates more than 9 million people take a prescribed medicine every day, with 8 million taking two or more prescribed medicines in a week. “Each year more than 230,000 Australians are hospitalised with problems caused by their medicine1, and if medicines aren’t used correctly, the results can be serious.

Approximately 44% of men and 57% of women older than 65 years take five or more nonprescription and/or prescription medications per week, and 12% of persons in this age group take 10 or more nonprescription and/or prescription medications per week.

Have you heard about this bill …

“To improve transparency and the availability of information regarding dietary supplements by amending the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act to require manufacturers of dietary supplements to list dietary supplements with the Food and Drug Administration.”

I was shocked to learn of this official Bill that is right now in process of nearly being passed at the moment in the USA which will give the FDA the authority to make ALL supplements go through regulations as a Drug. This would give them the power to BAN whatever supplements they want to and we’d have to go through our doctor for even the mildest supplements like Melatonin, Turmeric, Colloidal Silver, NAC, etc… The list is very long!

So, if this bill { https://legiscan.com/US/bill/SB4090/2021 } manages to get approved in the USA, I believe we are all in a world of hurt. I think Australia will follow, as it does, as well as other parts of the world. I believe that the attempt at passing this type of bill demonstrates that the focus is not about our health but rather about control and money being made the pharmaceutical industry.

👆👆👆 Disclaimer: I haven’t watched all of this clip yet but wanted to post for you guys as a start to do your own research. I felt it was important to get this blog out ASAP for you all to be aware and start preparing as you feel led to by the Lord.

Well, this blog isn’t ALL bad news as… Guess What?!

I discovered this as well a few days ago… love how God does that you know?! 😇

🧬I’m a science geek remember so I love this stuff but felt it important to explain that every research study has a ‘P value’ – in other words showing that if we ran this study again on a different group of people, would we get the same results?

In this published, peer reviewed study on Protandim NRF2 synergizer, the P value is 0.0001. Which means that if 10,000 people took Protandim Nrf2 9,999 of them would get the same result which is a reduction of oxidative stress by an average of 40% in 30 days.
😳ON THE CONTRARY – a pharmaceutical drug only needs to have 1 in 25 people to get the same result. In other words if they test 100 people, if only FOUR people of them get the same result – they can move forward with Phase 2.
Think about that…
THAT is the phenomenal power of our incredible nutriceutical OVER a pharmaceutical. This has been documented and studied by the University of Colorado Denver Health Sciences Research Dept.
Once you understand how huge this is, only then will you understand the power of this natural, plant based product.
And if you geek out over the science like me that ONE study is, in a word ….
🤯MINDBLOWING!
Still, saying all this, the bill I’m speaking off is NOT great for other natural supplements that are truly high quality and helpful in optimizing our immune systems, brain health, heart health etc, but there are also SO many rubbish supplements out there – so maybe less of those may be a good thing. I’m happy to share key questions with you as to what to look for when you are going to buy and try a new nutraceutical.  I personally and professionally feel even more confident now that the one I choose to take, and give our family daily, has above and far BEYOND what the FDA would regulate… truly so blessed by this knowledge I just had to share with you all!

🌱So, I think it’s time to stock up on our favourite natural products and be prepared to understand more how to strengthen our immune systems and to be sure to focus on prevention rather than cure ~ given what is happening around the world. A few ways that my family and I are doing this daily is through reducing oxidative stress with NRF2 activation (nothing else like it on the planet),  and my husband and I (nearly 50) also are taking an NRF1 activator which supports and repairs our mitochondria, as well as a high quality Omega+ supplement (that can be tracked from the boat where the fish were caught to the bottle on my shelf).

I am available for questions and would truly be honoured to help you on you and your family’s health journeys 😊 please feel free to book in with me for a 15 minute complimentary consult!
