Prophetic Word – I Am Lord of My Church (9 January 2024)

As I was spending time with Jesus this morning, asking Him what was on His heart, He started speaking this word for His Church.

He said: “Let My presence flood your hearts. Immerse yourselves in Me. Come to My living water and drink so that you can be satisfied.

My children, why do bicker and quarrel amongst yourselves? Do you not know that a house divided against itself cannot stand? Why do you fight and quarrel over positions and offices? Is it for positions and offices that I died for? Did I not die and raise again for hearts? You use your titles and positions to lord over My people. You sit on your lofty seats and exercise authority over who you think can be used by Me and who cannot. Have I given you such authority? Have I given you the right to stop My workings and My purposes in My children’s lives when it seemingly “threatens” your positions?

Do you not know that those I raise up are not here to take your seats or positions but rather to help? Do you not realise that you often squash and quench My Holy Spirit when you do that? Did I not say to all to go out and make disciples? How then is it that you want to stop My children from doing so when it does not fit in with your comfortable narratives? Do you not realise that whoever is for Me, gathers with Me? Why do you try and stop My children from spreading the Gospel and making disciples? Was it only to you that I gave that commissioning or to all? Were My disciples in church positions when I told them to go out and make disciples of all nations? Were they not merely followers of Me at that point in time?

If I reserved those in church positions and offices to be the only ones to go out and make disciples, would I not have made it clear? Why do you put stumbling blocks in front of My people who want to serve Me out of pure hearts? Be very mindful. I am their Lord, not you. I did not put you in a church position and office to quench them, squash them, and hinder them from making disciples. I placed you in those positions to encourage them, to help guide them, to empower them.

Learn what this means:, “I came to serve, not to be served”. Likewise, I call My people to serve in the various capacities I call them to. Not according to the ways you expect them to. There are various giftings and calls. If they are not against you, why are you against them? Stop looking at mere appearances and look at the heart. What did I say to John when he came and told Me they saw others driving out demons and so he stopped them because they were not part of My twelve disciples? Did I not say to him to not stop them? Whatever is birthed of Me brings glory and honour to Me. Whatever is not birthed of Me will carry bad fruit and will not last.

Why are you so concerned about your reputations and buildings? Is it not people you should be concerned about? If you would rather take time to seek My face on matters, would you not lead and govern better? My people are supposed to go out into the world and make disciples. Let them. If you have concerns, bring them to Me. I will tell you what you should do. Do not move out of your own initiative as you might find yourself fighting matters that are beyond you and raising your hand and heel against those I bless and send out. Know your position.”
