Prophetic Word – It is time to move from words to action (29 Feb 2024) – Adele Grobler

It’s Time To Move from Words to Actions!

As I was spending time with Jesus, I heard the Holy Spirit say:

“It is time to move from words to action”.

The Lord then brought this scripture to mind:

Matthew 15:8 (NKJV) – ‘These people draw near to Me with their mouth, And honor Me with their lips, But their heart is far from Me.

And then the Lord reminded me of James chapter 2 where it talks about our faith need to accompany our deeds. Your faith is justified when it is put into action and not merely through words.

The Lord started speaking to me that there are some in the body of Christ right now who say they love Jesus, yet, they wilfully continue in sin. They justify their sin and claim that they are misjudged, misunderstood and treated harshly because other believers don’t understand their struggle with sin. They form their own groups with other Christians who struggle in the same sin. They use it as a means to not properly deal with their sin but to indulge in it. They claim to love Jesus, yet they do not bear fruit in keeping with repentance.

The fruit they bear result in strife, conflict, disputes, blame, accusations, assumptions against other believers who are walking uprightly before the Lord. When their sin is addressed, they retaliate, trying to justify their own reasons and refusing to repent. Jesus said that if we love Him, we will obey His commands (John 14:15). A person cannot say they love Jesus and yet justify their own sin. The blind cannot lead the blind. Bad company corrupts the spirit. If a person continues to sit with others who justify their sin, that person will only stumble more in the way of unrighteousness.

The Bible says that if your eye causes you to sin, gauge it out, for it is better to enter heaven with one eye than to have both eyes and thrown in hell (Matthew 5:29).

A person’s words of saying they love Jesus and are following Him, carry no weight unless it is accompanied by action taken in the direction of repentance. They may use smooth words, manipulation, deception and flattery to try and convince others, but their deeds will expose what is truly in their heart. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. God will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and expose the sin.

God will not be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. He who sows to please his sinful nature, will reap destruction. When a person says they love Jesus but disown Him by their actions, it is just as good as showing contempt for what He did at the cross:

Hebrews 6:5-6 (NKJV) – and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, 6 if they fall away, to renew them again to repentance, since they crucify again for themselves the Son of God, and put Him to an open shame.

Following Jesus, saying you love Him, looks like crucifying the flesh, dying to self daily, pursuing holiness and righteous living, quick repentance for when you stumble. Bearing fruit in keeping with repentance and carrying the fruits of the Spirit, being willing to pick up your cross and follow Jesus at all cost, and resisting sin and fleeing from it. Having a life that is continuously transformed, making you a better person and shaping your character to reflect His Glory.

If you have been one to walk in this way, please stop saying you love Jesus and the next minute justify your reason to stay in sin. Stop saying you follow Jesus and represent Him, and then next minute tear down other believers with assumptions, slander, gossip, critiscm and bringing strife.

Ask the Lord to help free you from the snares and entrapments of sin.

The second part the Lord spoke to me about…

Matthew 21:28-32 (NIV) –
28 “What do you think? There was a man who had two sons. He went to the first and said, ‘Son, go and work today in the vineyard.’
29 “‘I will not,’ he answered, but later he changed his mind and went.
30 “Then the father went to the other son and said the same thing. He answered, ‘I will, sir,’ but he did not go.
31 “Which of the two did what his father wanted?”
“The first,” they answered.
Jesus said to them, “Truly I tell you, the tax collectors and the prostitutes are entering the kingdom of God ahead of you. 32 For John came to you to show you the way of righteousness, and you did not believe him, but the tax collectors and the prostitutes did. And even after you saw this, you did not repent and believe him.

It is time for action. Are you doing what you said you will do?

If you have been someone who has said to the Lord that you will do something that He asked of you but you have kept putting it off, then now is the time to start actioning it.

It is time to stop only talking about what you want to do for the Lord. It is time to stop only talking about the assignment or purpose God has given you. Words achieve nothing without actionable faith steps. It is time to put your words into action and God will meet you there. There is no time to keep putting off what God has placed on your heart to do. Move with Him and do what He asks.

Matthew 12:37 (NKJV) – For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”
