Prophetic Word – Where Are My Warriors (11 August 2023)

This morning as I was spending time with Jesus, Joel 2:7-11 burned in my heart:

Joel 2:7-11 (NIV) – They charge like warriors;
    they scale walls like soldiers.
They all march in line,
    not swerving from their course.
⁸ They do not jostle each other;
    each marches straight ahead.
They plunge through defenses
    without breaking ranks.
⁹ They rush upon the city;
    they run along the wall.
They climb into the houses;
    like thieves they enter through the windows.

¹⁰ Before them the earth shakes,
    the heavens tremble,
the sun and moon are darkened,
    and the stars no longer shine.
¹¹ The Lord thunders
    at the head of his army;
his forces are beyond number,
    and mighty is the army that obeys his command.
The day of the Lord is great;
    it is dreadful.
    Who can endure it?

When I asked the Lord what He was saying through this He said:

“Where are My warriors, My undefeated ones who have fought, battled and overcame? Who let go of their own selfish agendas and ideas in pursuit of Me? Who let sin lose its grip on them and instead pursued righteousness, purity, holiness and justice? Where are My burning ones that are ready to stand up for what is right? Who are not afraid of the wicked one? Who will not shy away from truth? Where are My leaders who will lead with integrity and love, who would not squash but elevate, who would not condemn but show the way to Me?

Where are My teachers who will teach the purity of My Word? Not sugar-coating the truth, not teaching out of their own wisdom but purely from My Spirit? Where are My armies? Where are those who will work together to advance My Kingdom? Where are those who do not look to compete with each other, but who march together in unison for one purpose and one purpose only – to show the way to Me. Will My people not awaken? Will My church not rise? Will she continue to fail to realise the hour that is at hand? The harvest is plentiful, but My workers are few. More hands mean a greater return on work. Darkness increases, while My people are sleeping.

A few awakened ones see what is happening. They cry out to others “Awake! Awake from your slumber!” Prepare the way of the Lord. “Let go of the world and hold on to Jesus.” But many pay no attention. I send My messengers forth into the world to declare My praises and My way in the world so that people are without excuse. They cannot say they did not know.

How long will My people not rise to their heavenly positions in Me? Taking their seats as My sons and daughters in the earth? Do I not reveal Myself through ones such as these so that I might be revealed to those who do not know Me? My people feel powerless, yet they fail to realise I am all-powerful. Is this the time to be concerned with building houses and settling in your luxuries? Is this not the time for battle, taking ground, pushing back darkness and setting the captives free? I will hold each person to account for deeds done while there on earth. Awake My people, awake!
